South End Townhouse
Renovation | Boston
This single-family residence is located on a leafy park square in Boston’s South End neighborhood. The brownstone, with its signature bow-front façade and granite stoop, was originally constructed in the mid-1800s. It has been fully restored and renovated across six levels, from a courtyard garden to a new roof deck with skyline views.
The transitional open plan is designed with a young family in mind and calibrates a balance of formality with everyday comfort. At the rear of the building, a steel window system spans three levels of living space, capturing abundant natural light. The window wall provides a strong visual anchor for the building as viewed from the courtyard and carriage house beyond.
